This would be from our friend Camille’s yard in Nashville, who had it out early Wednesday morning for commuters and schoolgoers to see.

*****fist pump in the air!!*****

Diane’s election party was a smash.  I’m so glad we got to be there.  We left at 9:00 because it was about a half hour drive home and a school night, but the boys still got to take part in lots of cheering and witness lots of elation.

****happy sigh****

Let’s all smile and sway together, shall we?

In other news, Rockinrolla is rocking out at basketball, now that football is over.  After his second practice last night, the coach called Daddy J in and insisted that he watch his son’s moves.  Coach says he’s totally going to be a star of the team.  Which is especially awesome because it will help the transition to Rockinrolla’s new school next year if he’s a basketball star, doncha know.

The Fishmaster showed me his walking stick that he (along with the entire middle school) is producing at his school.  Yes, they’re whittling with sharp edges to produce these (insert snarky you-don’t-get-to-do-this-at-just-any-school comment *here*) and are now using sandpaper to make the final products silky smooth.  He also showed me his rocket that he made for Rocketry class, painted and personalized and ready to fire up into the sky with black powder, alongside those of the rest of his class.

(said it before, I’ll say it again: Damnation, but I love that school.)

Dana has had a couple of learning opportunities with regards to car chasing, and has… responded appropriately to her new shock collar.  Daddy J is also using it to teach her to quit harassing Wolf when he’s playing, to great effect.  Our vet told us the shock collar was the quick, effective answer to bad behavior, and, as usual, he appears to be correct.

I appreciate the little dance Dana does when I “correct” her. I guess she likes it…

    That’s not nice, Daddy J.

Yes, ours was a blood-red state as well, Char. The capital went Democrat, but it was surrounded by overwhelmingly Republican counties. Whaddayagonnado.

I want to take Rocketry class! And make walking sticks, too!

What’s the name of the school again, Mama Jamz? It sounds unbelievable. And in our area, to boot! Cy’s creeping up to school age and it doesn’t hurt to know what’s out there…

I’ll email you, Camille, but it would be a pretty long haul from where you are.
