I am sorry to hear about the pup.

Jack, our cat, has gone missing 2 times like this before. He eventually showed up on our front door step. I am hoping this for you too.

Teeth? Oh man. He is growing FAST!

Sounds like you had a wonderful anniversary. So sorry about your dog, hoping he comes home soon.

Buddy went missing for about four days once. He came back with as hugh smile on his face and a friend. He didn’t appear to feel bad at all even though Kent and I had hunted him constantly and worried ourselves sick. I’m hoping your pup will come back soon.

Just like Buddy, one of our dobies left for a couple of weeks one time and eventually turned up lying in a farmer’s front yard. Farmer called us and dobie was home in short order. Hoping the same happy ending for you. Did she have a name tag?

No, no Dana yet. We just had a call, though, from someone who *may* have seen her at a BP station and had animal control pick her up a few days ago. He didn’t know what Welsh corgis look like and isn’t positive it was her. He said that it was clearly a (miserable and hungry) family pet, though, and that he told animal control not to destroy the animal and that he wanted to pay for her care until her family found her.

Animal control is closed today (arrrgggh!!) so I will have to wait until tomorrow to find out. I had talked to both animal rescue places in town (county and city) and emailed her photo to them earlier in the week, and also a friend of ours who is active in animal rescue had spoken to the places and described Dana to them with emphasis to look out for her. So, I just don’t know whether to hope it’s even her or not.

A friend who lives in town and knows Dana well is going to (VERY sweetly)
check it out tomorrow first thing in the morning.

Surely they wouldn’t destroy an animal after just a few days, right? Like, there wouldn’t be a bureaucratic burp where this person’s request to fund her got ignored and the pound was over-full? Wouldn’t they keep a little-ish, cute dog for awhile? Also, what happens if they had her and someone else came and adopted her late last week? I’d never even know, right?
